Editorial Review:

Designed for school districts, educators, and students seeking to maximize performance on standardized tests, Webster's paperbacks take advantage of the fact that classics are frequently assigned readings in English courses. By using a running thesaurus at the bottom of each page, this edition of Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton was edited for students who are actively building their vocabularies in anticipation of taking PSAT¿, SAT¿, AP¿ (Advanced Placement¿), GRE¿, LSAT¿, GMAT¿ or similar examinations.

entry-level all-around book about starting a non-hightech Ebay business 4 out of 5 stars.
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend because I owned the previous edition. The book is well written and contains a lot of practical advice and reference material about various facets of starting and running an Ebay business. It is also written from a point of view of a person with a non-technical background (that is, in computers or finance) who was forced to make a living off Ebay and succeeded at that. The book thus concentrates on extracting revenue from general merchandise using Ebay as a re-distribution channel. Naturally, all-around books always overlap with other sources. On-line help from the Ebay site, if you do not get lost in it, would shave off a good quarter of this book, and if you are literate in on-line 'data mining' and computers in general, another good portion of this book is superfluos. Also, most of the practical advice about using wholesale outlets and on-line stores is useless outside of the USA. All that said, this is a good all-around book for starters and it can serve as that last push that gets you going, if you are still uncertain about Ebay business.

Editorial Review:

Starting An eBay Business For Dummies is the book eBay entrepreneurs have been dying to have -- all the tips and tricks of turning eBay trading into a full-time job are here.

Too broad and all over the place 1 out of 5 stars.

The answers on the back are really poor at answering the questions on the front; they just lead one to ask more questions. You never get the oh yeah, I knew that. If you've read and reviewed, "The PMP Exam: How to Pass On Your First Try" (I'd say 4-5 times) and taken a couple practice tests, you shouldn't need anything else. Especially not these note cards. Just one guys opinion. I did passed the first time with this strategy, but that's no guarantee.

I thought i was getting the paperback version of microbiology. I got the paperback but it was an international version that was illegal to be sold in the United States. I will never buy from this vendor again and if you want what you pay for you wouldn't either. Hopefully it wont be that different from the original version in content.

Editorial Review:

Over the years, instructors at more than 1000 colleges and universities have made Microbiology:An Introduction, their #1 choice. The new sixth edition builds on the hallmark features of past editions-an accessible writing style, a systems approach to diseases, an exceptional art program-and adds new features and supplements that meet the needs of today's students. This new edition becomes an even better teaching and learning tool with a new Interactive Student Tutorial CD-ROM, expanded critical thinking opportunities, a new Taxonomic Guide to Diseases Appendix, a World Wide Web Site, enhanced step-by-step descriptions added to text and illustrations, expanded end-of-chapter learning materials, and additional coverage of hot topics such as emerging infectious diseases, antibiotic/multi-drug resistance, and rapid identification of microorganisms.

Good enough for now 2 out of 5 stars.

I highly recommend that, unless you're a software novice, to wait for the hardbound Deluxe Edition. Very short on useful technical help for stability problems, error code fixes and glitches that are endemnic with this OS platform.

Please, please, please, Microsoft; release SP1 for the general public. As I wrote, unless you have never worked with operating system problems--save your money for the next edition. If you can't figure it out on your own, it is not in this book. I've hardly cracked it because it is so not helpful.
