This is a 'stupidfied' version of NLP. I can't believe that all these idiots gave this book 5 stars no wonder America is in trouble. This book talks about wishing for what you want and it'll come true without putting any effort in to it. You just have to believe that you can win the lotto and it'll happen, basically that's the point of this idiotic book. I'm going to let you in a little secret, THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE! Thinking positive is one thing but without putting any work or effort it's just wishful thinking. Trash this book and pick up a book on NLP to really learn how to think positive to reach the goals you want.

Ekhart Tolle's message is simple: living in the now is the truest path to happiness and enlightenment. And while this message may not seem stunningly original or fresh, Tolle's clear writing, supportive voice, and enthusiasm make this an excellent manual for anyone who's ever wondered what exactly "living in the now" means. Foremost, Tolle is a world-class teacher, able to explain complicated concepts in concrete language. More importantly, within a chapter of reading this book, readers are already holding the world in a different container--more conscious of how thoughts and emotions get in the way of their ability to live in genuine peace and happiness.

Tolle packs a lot of information and inspirational ideas into The Power of Now. (Topics include the source of Chi, enlightened relationships, creative use of the mind, impermanence, and the cycle of life.) Thankfully, he's added markers that symbolize "break time." This is when readers should close the book and mull over what they just read. Brilliant for anyone who's ever worked in an office! 5 out of 5 stars.

If you're new to Dilbert, he's a small guy who works in a highly bureaucratic white collar office. The comics satirize office politics beautifully. The humor is similar to the TV series The Office, but Dilbert was the original.

I give the Dilbert day-to-day calendar to my father every year for Christmas. He works in senior management and very much enjoys having a new Dilbert strip to read everyday and to share with his staff. When he goes away, he actually takes the pages that he is going to miss with him so that he doesn't miss reading any. He often saves hilarious and appropriate cartoons to give to my husband (who works in IT) or to me (I work in Marketing). If you work in an office environment - or have escaped from one! - this is a wonderful calendar.

While the day-to-day calendar has been around for a few years now, I was pleasantly surprised to see one change in this year's format: all the cartoon strips are now in color! Otherwise the layout and format is as per previous years. The inside pages are shrinkwrapped so they are well protected in transit to you.

The other thing I appreciate about the Dilbert calendars is that there is enough material to keep them fresh. Before Dilbert, I used to give my father a Farside day-to-day calendar, but after 3-4 years he noticed that some cartoons were repeating from previous years. So far this has not occurred with the Dilbert calendar. (The cartoons are also different from the ones that appear on the daily Dilbert on Dilbert.com) I highly recommend it.

Wally practices work avoidance as if it's some New Age religion, Alice resorts to violent measures to relieve stress, and Dilbert remains cluelessly above it all. Throw in a boss who manages via buzzwords, and you have the main players in the favorite strip among office dwellers everywhere: Dilbert. It's a cast of characters all too familiar to most, which accounts for no small part of its amazing success. It seems that everyone knows, has worked with, or unknowingly is a Dilbert type.

This Dilbert day-to-day takes on a new look for 2009 with every one of the strips in full color.

While I agree with the four agreements - the ideas are good - I don't like how it is presented. It is based on the presumption that life is a dream of Hell. If you don't agree with that the rest doesn't really follow. If that was left out then I would give this a better rating. I do agree though that these agreements are basic common sense but some people still need to read them.

I have no doubt that this will still be a great purchase simply because the show is hysterical. However - the description states that the pages are self adhesive - and they aren't!

there's not much in here which I'd consider eye-opening. it's all pretty much common sense. if you have a 'glass is half-full' outlook on life, good things happen to you.

I bought this book with "Nexus: A Neo Novel" at a special deal. Michael Losier's book is the bare bones essential info on "Law of Attraction." I loved reading it because I found it practical and easy to understand. I recommend both books for anyone looking for self-transformation.

I have read a variety of books in the spirituality realm and something about this author doesn't strike me as authentic. I have read many reviews here and the most disturbing are the ones that give little detail as they blindly praise this author's divinity and wisdom.

Here's the thing that I find most uncomfortable: You don't have to sell spirituality. No one has the perfect way that you can only find in his book, or shall I say "series" of books. There are many ways to reach forgiveness, peace, harmony and love. This teaching gives me an uncomfortable feeling of exclusivity. In fact, I wondered why a book about the soul, as written by Sha, was not published by Hay House--a very inclusive, "try everything that works for you"-type of company. After reading the focus and tone, I realize why Hay House might have passed on this manuscript.

I became skeptical early on, but I tried to keep an open mind and give his lessons a try. I only got as far as "Soul Language" in Soul Wisdom when he gave me a number to chant over and over, but I don't know what the number means--it's a secret and he promised to sell that secret to me in another book later on.

"Master Sha" allowed me to call on his soul as I performed my Divine Download, as long as I paid him the common courtesy of returning it when I was done. Perhaps this is an Eastern practice I have never heard of, but it felt too much to me like asking the Priest to bless my relationship with God. The way I believe, I never needed the priest to communicate with God and I don't need Master Sha to "be with me" as I meditate and find peace and wisdom from within.

I feel duped by the five-star reviews and the lack of information here posted on Amazon. I bought this book because of its previous best-seller status and the quantity of high reviews, but I agree with a previous review: something's off about the system here. I would go so far as to say that Team Sha posted more than half of the reviews to promote his "teachings."

The world is in need of and has a desire for a spiritual movement, unfortunately I feel that this "soul series" is cashing in on the market. You can find wonderful, inclusive lessons from Hay House Publishers. I recommend Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Jerry and Esther Hicks--to name a few from that camp.

If you don't want Hay House, try Martha Beck, who writes wonderful books about finding your soul's purpose and following your destiny. Surprisingly, none of the authors I have mentioned require you put their books to your chest in order to invoke the healing power. Save your money.

Expanding on his mantra—Get out of your head and into the moment—Eckhart Tolle offers this new book on living in the now. Here Tolle emphasizes the art of "inner stillness"--the place where thoughts, ego and attachments fall always and we are left only with what the moment has to offer: "When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world." Don't expect this to be a quick skim or even a straight-through read. Like his previous bestselling book The Power of Now, Tolle uses brief entries and numerous white spaces to give readers easy in-and-out access into enticing spiritual insights that expound on inner stillness, such as learning the difference between surrender and resignation, overcoming the fear death, and how to end suffering. In fact, this is designed to be an ongoing conversation. Pick it up any time or any place, but be sure to allow for plenty of breaks for serious contemplation. Even as you occasionally abandon the book, don't abandon the teachings, pleads Tolle. Embracing and practicing inner stillness is no longer a luxury, he writes, "but a necessity if humankind is not to destroy itself.
